Wincham Park
Northwich, United Kingdom
Formerly: Britannia Carpets Stadium, Bargain Booze Stadium, Help for Heroes Stadium, U Lock It Stadium
The stadium opened in 1989, replacing the Central Ground, and has seen little change in its structure since. The only major addition was the cover installed at both ends of the pitch a year later.
The playing surface is natural grass. The capacity is 4,813, though the covered section holds just 600. The rest is uncovered.
The ground has hosted several tenants over the years. Witton Albion remains the primary club, but Northwich Victoria F.C. shared the facility during three separate periods, as did Runcorn Linnets F.C. before they folded. The venue also held occasional matches for the 1874 Northwich F.C. side, including a notable FA Cup fixture against Hull City in 1993. The stadium has carried various sponsored names, including Britannia Carpets Stadium and Bargain Booze Stadium, the latter becoming a talking point on the BBC TV show Room 101.
