The Winklebury Sports Complex sits on Winklebury Way in Basingstoke, a town that has lost its own club to a dispute over land.
The transformation began in 2015, when the Hampshire FA identified the site as a priority for improvements under its Playing Pitch Strategy. The work culminated in September 2019, when the facility re-opened following a heavy investment from the Football Foundation and the Premier League. The centrepiece of that investment was the pitch itself: a floodlit 3G artificial surface that was officially opened on 28 November 2019. Basingstoke Town F.C. In July 2023 Basron Developments finished the job by adding a clubhouse and boardroom to the complex.
The capacity is listed at 2,000, though some sources say 1,990. Here, in the FA Cup qualifying rounds, they beat Wimborne Town 4-3 in September 2021.
