The C-League, officially the Cambodian Premier League, is the premier professional football competition in Cambodia. Situated at Level 1 of the national pyramid, it operates above the Cambodian League 2. Organised by the Cambodian Football League Company following a transfer of control from the Football Federation of Cambodia in 2022, the tournament represents the highest standard of domestic play.
The competition traces its roots to 1982, when a national championship was established under the Soviet model involving state enterprises. This amateur era ended before the professional Metfone Cambodian League was launched in 2005. The current structure for the 2026 season features an 11-club double round-robin format with a subsequent split into a Championship Round and a Bottom Round. Angkor Tiger, Boeung Ket, Dangkor Senchey, Kirivong Sok Sen Chey, Kompong Dewa, and Life Sihanoukville contest the title alongside other participants.
Regulations include a foreign player quota of six registered athletes, five of whom may appear on the pitch simultaneously. A distinctive provision allows dual citizens to be classified as domestic players. Additionally, teams must include a U-23 youth player in their starting lineup. Promotion from the second tier is contingent upon meeting specific licensing criteria, while relegation depends on financial and stadium standards.
Phnom Penh Crown FC holds the record for the most titles with eight wins. Preah Khan Reach Svay Rieng FC entered the 2026 campaign as the reigning champions from the previous 2024–25 season. The league remains distinct from the Hun Sen Cup, which serves as a secondary knockout tournament managed by the federation rather than the league company.
