The Crown Prince Cup is a domestic knockout tournament in Kuwait, organized by the Kuwait Football Association (KFA). The competition began in 1993–94, following its establishment in 1994, and sits in the hierarchy below the Emir Cup. It is open to clubs from the Kuwaiti Premier League and the Kuwaiti Division One. The tournament structure typically involves 18 teams. Matches proceed through knockout stages, including quarter-finals, semi-finals, and a final. A preliminary round often involves lower-tier participants before the main bracket begins. The format does not include promotion or relegation within the competition itself, though league performance determines eligibility. Kuwait SC and Al-Arabi SC hold the record for the most victories, with ten titles each. Qadsia SC follows with nine. In the 2024–25 season, Kuwait SC secured the title by defeating Al-Arabi SC 1–0 after extra time in the final on May 19, 2025. Previous editions have seen disruptions; the 2023–24 tournament was abandoned. Winning the cup does not automatically secure a place in Asian continental competitions, which are decided by league position. However, the victor usually earns a spot in the AGCFF Gulf Club Champions League. The competition remains a significant fixture in the Kuwaiti football calendar, offering a secondary route to silverware for the nation's top sides.
