The **Bermudian Premier Division** (also known as the **Bermudian Premier League**) is the top tier of football in Bermuda, sitting at Level 1 of the national pyramid. Founded in 1963 by the Bermuda Football Association (BFA), the league currently consists of 10 clubs. The format is a single-table, double round-robin regular season where teams play each other twice. There is no playoff system; the champion is determined by the highest points total at the end of the season.
The winner qualifies for the CONCACAF Caribbean Club Shield, which is the secondary tier of Caribbean club competition, intended for leagues striving toward professionalism. This distinguishes it from fully professional Caribbean leagues whose champions enter the Caribbean Club Championship directly. Notably, in the 2016–17 season, champion Robin Hood qualified for the Shield but the BFA elected not to send a team, a unique administrative anomaly.
The league has a distinct sponsorship history, formerly known as the Cingular Wireless Premier Division before Digicel acquired Cingular's Caribbean operations in 2005; it is currently sponsored by Digicel. Promotion and relegation exist: the bottom two clubs are relegated to the Bermuda First Division. Promotion from the First Division is generally automatic for the champion(s), though the number of promoted teams can vary based on league size adjustments or reprieves (e.g., two teams were promoted in 2018–19, and two shared champions were promoted in 2019–20). The most successful club is PHC Zebras with 13 titles, followed by Somerset Trojans, North Village Rams, and Dandy Town Hornets, each with 10 titles. The most recent confirmed champion is North Village Rams (2024–25), while PHC Zebras won the 2023–24 season. The league is distinct from the Bermuda FA Cup, a knockout tournament dating back to 1922 (originally the BAA Cup), which operates independently and does not automatically confer continental qualification. The BFA governs both competitions. The league's structure and semi-professional status place it below the top-tier leagues of larger Caribbean nations like Jamaica or Trinidad and Tobago in terms of CONCACAF qualification pathways.
