Genoa remain rooted to 14th place with a single point from three games. Como sit seventh with five points, though the table barely tells you much this early in the season. What it does show is that the support of the fans could be called devoted, but that is an assessment, not a fact. The fact is that the club sits top of the table — and this result moves them further away from the bottom.
