Cavalieri defeated Atlético Ottawa 3-1 in the Canadian Premier League Group Stage on Friday evening. The home side took all three points despite their visitors holding the majority of possession throughout the contest.
N. Edwards opened the scoring in the 13th minute, followed quickly by T. Warschewski's goal just five minutes later. N. Fleuriau Chateau extended the lead to 3-0 in the 22nd minute, and Warschewski added a second in the 53rd to seal the result.

Cavalieri remain top of the table with 43 points from 19 matches, while Atlético Ottawa sit third on 33 points from 20 games. The result extends the home side's recent form, having won four of their last five league fixtures.
