Preussen Munster — Southampton: 1:2, Friendlies Clubs

Southampton beat Preußen Münster 2:1 in a club friendly on 1 August 2026. The visitors took the lead within four minutes of each other before the hosts fought back. By then the pattern was clear—Southampton controlled the tempo while Münster looked for chances on the break.

F. Higl opened the scoring in the thirteenth minute for the hosts. L. Scienza responded almost immediately, finding the net in the seventeenth. Preußen Münster levelled later, though the data does not record who scored or when. The visitors reclaimed the lead through L. Dobbin in the eighty-seventh minute.

Five yellow cards were shown in total—three for Münster and two for Southampton. The bookings came in the twentieth, twenty-third, forty-fourth, seventy-second and seventy-sixth minutes. No red cards or substitutions were recorded in the data supplied.

Southampton dominated possession at 62 per cent and registered 81 attacks compared with 48 for the hosts. They won nine corners to three, while Münster committed six offsides and Southampton six. The statistics suggest the visitors created more opportunities, and Dobbin's late strike confirmed that advantage.

The result extends Southampton's recent form, which includes wins over Eastleigh and Middlesbrough. Preußen Münster's run has been mixed, with defeats to SSV Jeddeloh and Elversberg among their last five outings. For a friendly, the gap in performance was visible throughout.
