Priegrada were knocked out of the Cup in the Round of 128 after Baník Prešov claimed a 3-1 victory on 26 August. The visitors took control early and never looked back, with D. Laktionov responsible for two of the goals. Priegrada pulled one back through S. Barta, but M. Radchenko sealed the result late on.
And here's the thing about the opening exchanges — Laktionov struck twice inside nine minutes. The first came in the eighth minute, and he added another just before half-time in the seventeenth. Priegrada had no answer to the pace of the attack.
To be fair, the hosts responded after the break. Barta found the net in the fifty-second minute and briefly made it interesting. But Baník Prešov had already built enough of a cushion to absorb the pressure.
Radchenko put the game beyond doubt in the eighty-fourth minute. By then, the tie was effectively over. Priegrada's consolation goal meant little against the weight of the away side's performance.
Baník Prešov arrived with mixed recent results — a 2-1 win against Fomat Martin followed by a 2-2 draw with Pukhov, but also heavy defeats to Inter Bratislava and Zlaté Moravce. This win extends their momentum into the next round.
