Udinese and Como played out a 1-1 draw in the opening round of Serie A at Bluenergi Stadium on Friday. Kamara gave the hosts an early lead before Douvikas equalised for the visitors. Both sides enter the second matchday with four points from two games.
Kamara put Udinese ahead in the twenty-ninth minute after a steady opening period. Piotrowski had picked up a booking eight minutes earlier, and Abankwah followed suit before half-time. Como made three changes at the break, bringing on Palma, Perrone and Baturina all at once.
Douvikas levelled in the fifty-fourth minute to end Udinese's advantage. The hosts then removed Piotrowski after his second card, while Rodriguez came on for them. Gueye joined the substitutions in the seventy-second minute before the game opened up further.
Both teams created similar opportunities but couldn't find a winner. Udinese registered four big chances against Como's four, though the visitors had more possession at 59 per cent. Udinese's shots were less accurate at 18 per cent compared to Como's 30 per cent, despite the hosts generating a higher expected goals total of 2.14.
