USK Praha B kept their 1st League campaign alive with a 77:73 victory over Polabí on Sunday afternoon. The hosts were out of sight by the final whistle, but it wasn't until the closing stages that the result seemed certain. To be fair, Polabí had every chance to take control before that moment.

We had given an away win as our forecast, confidence sitting at 53 per cent. The match didn't break that way. Polabí were close enough to make it uncomfortable, but the home side found a way back into it when it mattered.

USK Praha B sit seventh after 18 games, seven wins and 11 defeats. Polabí move to fourth on ten victories, but the gap between them remains tight with eight games left. By then, every point carries more weight.

The visitors lost their last outing 93:98 to Radotín and came off a win against Liberec before that. The hosts won 95:84 at Sokol Praha two weeks ago and had been steady at home before this one. Form was not on Polabí's side in the short term.

Seventy-seven to seventy-three tells you everything about a game decided on margins. The home side dug in when it counted, and that was enough to keep things moving in their favour.
