Torino agree Anjorin loan to Goztepe, Gineitis deal stalls
Torino sent Tino Anjorin to Goztepe on a €6m loan-to-buy deal, while Celtic's move for Gvidas Gineitis collapsed and may resume in January.
Torino have found a market for Tino Anjorin, but not for Gvidas Gineitis.
The Serie A side have agreed a loan with option to buy worth around €6m to send Anjorin to Goztepe in Turkey, where the transfer window is still open. The 24-year-old English midfielder came through the Chelsea academy, moved to Empoli in 2024 and switched to Torino for €4.5m last summer. Sky Sport Italia and Fabrizio Romano both confirm the terms.
Gineitis is a different story. Celtic had been expected to sign the 22-year-old Lithuania international on deadline day in Scotland, but no agreement was struck before the window closed. Torino had already lined up his replacement, bringing in Rolando Mandragora from Fiorentina and Daniel Braganca from Sporting CP, which had pointed to Gineitis making way.
The Hoops are now expected to return with an offer in January, extending a pursuit that has already run for months without a deal.
