Harry Kane scored his 100th and 101st Bundesliga goals in 98 appearances during Bayern Munich's 7-0 win over Union Berlin, breaking a record that had stood since 1977.

Dieter Müller set the previous mark for Cologne, reaching a century in 129 games. Kane got there 30 matches quicker, converting a 39th-minute penalty for the landmark strike before nodding in a Michael Olise cross early in the second half.

Since joining Bayern in 2023, Kane has averaged a Bundesliga goal every 78.5 minutes, a better rate than Erling Haaland (87 minutes), Robert Lewandowski (100) and Gerd Müller (105). He has now scored 152 goals in 154 appearances in all competitions for the club, including 61 in 51 games last season.

Bayern's win sent them top of the table before the weekend's other fixtures.

Kane told Sky Germany:

Kane has also won the Torjägerkanone as the Bundesliga's top scorer in each of his first three seasons in Germany, a feat no player had previously managed. The Ballon d'Or, for which he is among the contenders, will be awarded in London on 26 October.

With 151 goals for Bayern already banked before Saturday, a second century of goals for the club is now within reach before the 2026/27 campaign ends.
