Bayern Munich put seven goals past Union Berlin at the Allianz Arena on Friday, then took the whole squad to Oktoberfest two days later.

Union held out for the opening quarter of an hour with a compact defensive shape. Jamal Musiala broke it in the 18th minute, driving a shot beyond Frederik Rönnow. Michael Olise won the penalty from which Harry Kane scored his 100th Bundesliga goal in the 39th minute, reaching the mark in just 98 league appearances. Olise, who has scored 44 goals for Bayern since joining in August 2024, made it 3-0 before halftime.

The second half belonged almost entirely to him. Kane headed in Olise's cross for his 101st league goal in the 54th minute, substitute Ismael Saibari added a fifth in the 70th, and Olise completed his hat-trick with two goals in quick succession, both set up by Tom Bischof — first a long pass, then a backheel. Rönnow, in goal for Union since October 2022, had no answer on the night.

The win came the day before Oktoberfest began and just ahead of a three-week international break, and the squad made the most of the timing. Kane and his team-mates turned out in traditional Bavarian dress for the club's annual visit to the Wiesn on Sunday, a first taste of the festival for summer arrivals Nathaniel Brown and Saibari.

Bayern remain unbeaten this season, with six wins from seven competitive matches, and sit second in the Bundesliga, two points behind leaders Borussia Dortmund. The result followed a 2-1 win at newly promoted Elversberg on 13 September, when Kane's late strike ended the debutants' perfect start, and a 5-0 thrashing of Bodo/Glimt in the Champions League on 10 September. Vincent Kompany's side return on 10 October away to Augsburg, their first fixture after the extended September-October break.
