Gyokeres admits frustration over lack of playing time at Arsenal

Viktor Gyokeres has admitted he is frustrated by his lack of playing time at Arsenal. The 28-year-old Sweden forward has started two games for the club this season and has not scored. His Premier League action amounts to two appearances off the bench.

"Of course, it's frustrating that I'm not playing more at Arsenal. It's always disappointing, whichever team you're at, because you want to be on the pitch, to contribute, to score goals. Sometimes it really is upsetting, but I try to give everything when I get chances. I'm focused on what depends on me," Gyokeres said, according to Arsenal News Channel.

He joined from Sporting in the summer of 2025 for almost €67m.

A separate report, a Soccer365 press review that names no source, says his agent has asked for an urgent meeting with the club's management. The agent is said to have told Arsenal that the player is no longer willing to sit on the bench and would be ready to change clubs if nothing changes. Neither Arsenal nor the agent has commented on that account.

If the agent's demand is confirmed, this may mean the club faces a decision on the striker's role sooner than planned. For now, Gyokeres's own words are those of a player waiting for his chance.
