About the player
Anfronit Tatum played for the under-20 side at the Premundial Sub-20 in 2024, wearing the captain's armband in the quarter-final against Cuba and scoring the equaliser in the 78th minute of a match Honduras eventually drew 1-1. The same tournament produced another moment that stood out: a goal against El Salvador that was shortlisted for the competition's best goal award.
At club level with Real España, he has built a reputation for scoring with his head. His goal against Génesis FC during the Clausura 2024 and a second, in the same manner, against Lobos UPNFM in September 2025, both came off headers. He added a more decisive contribution in December 2025, coming off the bench in the second half of a Triangular fixture against Motagua and scoring in a 3-0 win for Real España.
The disciplinary side of his record has been less smooth. In the Clausura 2026 he was sent off for striking Marathón's Isaac Castillo, an incident the FESFUT disciplinary commission punished with a three-match ban and a fine of 10,000 lempiras. It was not his first suspension: he had already served a ban for an earlier red card shown against Olimpia.
He has represented Honduras at under-20 and under-23 level, appearing nine times for the U-23 side, but has yet to be capped by the senior national team. Speaking to the press in February 2024, Tatum said his ambition was to become champion with Real España.
