Anes Meljichi

Anes Meljichi broke into the first team in the 2023/24 season, when he made seven league appearances. The following campaign brought the biggest team success of his career so far: Shkëndija won the Macedonian championship, and Meljichi featured in 13 league matches as the club claimed the title.

Since then his role has steadily grown. He has since become a regular fixture at centre-back, adding a goal to his tally as his appearance count climbed into double figures each season. Standing at 192cm and playing on his right foot, he has developed into one of the taller options at the back for a Shkëndija side that has also pushed into European competition, reaching the play-off round of the UEFA Conference League.

Meljichi's progress has not gone unnoticed at international level. He has moved up through Northern Macedonia's youth ranks, starting at under-17 level before stepping up to the under-19s, where he scored twice in six appearances, and then the under-21s, adding a further goal in seven outings. That trajectory through the age groups has run in parallel with his rise at club level, where he remains under contract with Shkëndija.

He has yet to play outside Tetovo, with his entire senior career built at the club that developed him. Shkëndija's continued domestic success gives him a platform to keep adding to a career built almost entirely in claret and blue.
