Álvaro Sebastián Ramos Sepúlveda

Ramos has spent almost his entire career answering to Deportes Iquique.

He stayed in Santiago until 2015, with a loan spell at Santiago Wanderers breaking up his time there, before a switch to Mexico's León in 2017 for a fee reported at €625,000. A loan took him back to Chile with Everton de Viña del Mar during that period. He returned to Iquique in 2020, aside from a brief loan at Coquimbo Unido in 2022, and has stayed there since — the only player in the club's history to have been transferred out twice, first to Universidad Católica and then to León.

What sets Ramos apart at Iquique is the goal tally. He is the club's all-time leading scorer, with 82 goals across all competitions as of May 2024, split across spells in the Primera División and Primera B plus the Copa Chile. He earned a single cap for the Chilean national team, coming on in a 1-1 draw with Croatia at the China Cup in January 2017, a tournament Chile went on to win, and he also came through the U-17 and U-20 sides. In 2012, El Gráfico included him among the 50 most important players in Chilean football.
