About the player
FH handed Baldur Logi Guðlaugsson a senior debut in 2017. He had joined the academy in Hafnarfjörður in 2013 and passed through the U14, U16 and U19 teams, the last of those appearances coming in 2021 — long after he had already been used by the first team. That overlap is the clearest thing about his early years: a player brought up one age group at a time, without a clean break between the youth set-up and the senior squad.
The international recognition arrived in the middle of it. Between 2018 and 2019 he won four caps for Iceland at U17 level, including qualifiers for the UEFA European Under-17 Championship . He has not appeared for the U19, U21 or senior sides since.
He stayed at FH until 25 March 2023, close to a decade at the one club, before moving to Stjarnan . The fee was not disclosed. The spell ended on 5 February 2026, when he signed for Keflavík ÍF on a contract running to 31 December 2027. That fee was not made public either.
