About the player
Ben Hammond never made a first-team appearance for Nottingham Forest, but he was part of the under-21 side that won the Premier League International Cup in May 2025. Forest beat Lyon on penalties in the final.
Hammond is a Welsh midfielder who can also play at centre-back. He came through Forest's youth ranks and spent his time at the club with the under-21s. Wales called on him at several youth levels: under-18, under-19 and under-21.
His first taste of senior football away from Forest came in February 2026, when he joined Northampton Town on loan until June. The deal included an option to buy. He played for the club in the EFL Trophy, and the option was not taken up.
Forest then released him, and in July 2026 he signed a two-year contract with Boston United on a free transfer.
