César Alejandro González Ramírez

César Alejandro González Ramírez joined Deportes Santa Cruz, where he stayed through the bulk of his early career. In March 2021 he moved to Magallanes on a free transfer, though the switch did not stick for long: by January 2022 he was back at Santa Cruz, again arriving without a fee attached. That second spell proved the longer of the two, running through to 2024.

Since joining Deportes Iquique in 2024, González has featured in both domestic league matches and the Copa Libertadores, giving him a taste of continental competition alongside his usual league workload. At 169 cm, he is built along different lines to the target men more commonly seen leading the line, which has shaped the kind of forward role he has occupied at each of his clubs.

One detail from his file stands out: a reported operation on his right foot, mentioned in coverage of his career without further elaboration on its circumstances or impact. Beyond that, his path has been one of modest, repeated moves within Chilean football rather than a single defining transfer or headline goal — a career built on staying in work and taking the opportunities Santa Cruz, Magallanes and now Iquique have offered him.
