Nicolás Ezequiel Caro Torres

Nicolás Ezequiel Caro Torres spent nine years registered with Cerro Porteño without ever making an official appearance for the Paraguayan club's first team, a stretch during which his career was effectively built elsewhere, on loan. Signed by Cerro Porteño in 2016 straight after leaving Estudiantes de Buenos Aires, the left-footed centre-back was sent out on a string of temporary moves around Argentine football, from Lanús and Brown de Adrogué to Gimnasia y Esgrima de Jujuy, Atlanta and Atlético Güemes, gathering appearances and the occasional goal without settling anywhere for long.

It was at Deportivo Riestra, where he arrived on loan in 2021 and made 28 appearances, that a pattern began to take shape. After a loan spell at Chacarita Juniors in 2023, in which he scored twice in 28 matches, Caro returned to Riestra on loan again in 2024 and made 32 appearances in the Primera División, scoring once. When his contract with Cerro Porteño expired in 2025, he joined Deportivo Riestra permanently on a free transfer, turning a series of loans into a settled home. In 2026 he moved on loan to Estudiantes BA, the club where his career had started.

Caro's only piece of team silverware dates back to his time on Lanús's books, when the club won the Copa del Bicentenario and the Supercopa Argentina in 2016, though he did not feature in the finals or the wider campaigns. Across his career he has made around 167 appearances and scored 13 goals, all at club level; he has not represented Argentina at any international level.
