About the player
Dániel Lukács came through the ranks at Budapest Honvéd, making his senior debut for the club in 2015. Loan spells took him to Újpest and to Tiszakécske before he left Honvéd for good in 2021, joining Kecskeméti TE. A move to Diósgyőri VTK in the summer of 2022, then back to Kecskemét in January 2024, and on to Puskás Akadémia on a free transfer in July 2025, where he now wears the number 8 shirt.
Primarily a forward who can also play as an attacking midfielder, Lukács has built a modest but growing international record with Hungary, with nine caps to his name. His first goal for the national team came in a 2026 FIFA World Cup qualifier against Armenia in October 2025.
The frequency of his transfers reflects a career built on proving himself afresh at each stop rather than settling into a long-term home.
