D. Sukhi

Alexandr Sojka was named in the Czech Republic squad for the 2026 FIFA World Cup, and his senior international debut came the same year. He had by then moved through the national youth teams, playing for the Czech Republic at U16 and U21 level.

He is from Plzeň, though he did not start out at the city's main club. His first football was at SK Klatovy 1898, where he stayed until 2017. He then joined the academy of FC Viktoria Plzeň and spent four years there before turning senior with the club in 2021.

The first team was not an immediate home for him. In 2023 he went on loan to FC Silon Táborsko, where he spent the 2023–24 season. That gave him a run of regular football away from Plzeň. He came back to the club afterwards and stayed until 2025.

That year he made a permanent move to FC Hradec Králové, a change of club after his years in Plzeň. He returned to Plzeň in 2026, and the same year brought his senior debut for the national team and the World Cup squad place.

His path has gone from a small-town club to a top academy, then out on loan and to a second club, before coming back to Plzeň.
