About the player
Daisuke Yokota came through the Kawasaki Frontale academy, moving to Germany to join the youth ranks at FSV Frankfurt and then FC Carl Zeiss Jena II.
That path took him to Latvia's Valmiera FC, where he stayed for two seasons and won the Latvian Higher League title in 2022. He switched to Górnik Zabrze in Poland in January 2023 for a fee of around €670,000. In January 2024, Yokota left for Belgian side KAA Gent in a €2 million deal, which Weszlo reported as the fourth-most expensive transfer in Górnik's history.
Hannover 96 exercised a buy option in the summer of 2026 and signed him permanently for €2 million.
The stay in Hannover proved short.
Yokota has not yet been capped by the Japan national team.
