About the player
Feirense have signed a forward: Danny Pires finished as top scorer at GD Bragança with 16 goals in 31 appearances in 2025/26, where they finished third.
Pires is a Bragança native who came through the club's own ranks, save for a single season, 2018/19, spent in the junior squad at GD Chaves before he returned home. After stepping into GD Bragança's senior side, he left in 2021 for Atlético de Macedo de Cavaleiros, and a year later took an unusual detour altogether: a move to Finland, to Peimari United in the fourth-tier Kolmonen.
He came back to GD Bragança in 2023. That form has now earned him a move to Feirense in Liga Portugal 2, where he has signed a two-year contract with an option for a third and taken the number 17 shirt.
