About the player
David Klein came through the youth ranks at FV Ravensburg before joining FC Ingolstadt 04's academy in July 2022. He worked his way up through the club's youth teams, playing for the Under-19 side between April 2023 and June 2025 and making 49 appearances at that level.
In June 2025 he stepped up to Ingolstadt's senior squad. Since then he has made ten appearances and kept two clean sheets, with a save percentage of 70.3%.
Klein has also had a taste of international football. In March 2025 he was called up to a Germany Under-19 training camp in Frankfurt, where he made his debut for the age group in a friendly against FSV Frankfurt. He played one half of the match as Germany won 3-1.
