About the player
Diogo Paulo's career has been built almost entirely in the academy system, starting at Sporting CP, where he arrived as a teenager, before moving on to Vitória SC. It was during this period, he has said in interviews, that a serious injury interrupted his development and cost him ground he never fully made up.
He got another chance to build senior experience at SC Farense, turning out for the club's B team before featuring for the first team in the Segunda Liga.
Since then, Diogo Paulo has moved through a series of clubs on free transfers: SU 1º Dezembro in Liga 3, then CF Os Belenenses, where he was named man of the match in at least one outing. He now joins Lusitânia Lourosa on a contract running to the end of June 2027.
He has not been capped by Portugal at senior level, and no major individual honours or trophies appear on his record.
