Dylan Collard

Sydney gave Dylan Collard his birthplace, not his passport: at senior level he plays for Mauritius. That path began at Lusitano, ran briefly through Poland with Stal Rzeszów — a stint that ended when the contract was cancelled by mutual agreement after a single appearance — before he settled into the Marítimo set-up, where four seasons with the B team built the platform for a run in the first-team squad.

Since 2024 he has played for Lusitânia Lourosa, and the move has suited him. Lourosa won the Liga 3 title in 2024/25, and Collard has made himself known there for something unusual in a centre-back: goals. He scored three in the first four rounds of the 2025/26 season.

The international side of his career has followed a similar shape. Collard made his debut for Mauritius in March 2022 and scored his first goal for the national team four days later, against São Tomé and Príncipe. He has since been capped 16 times. At the COSAFA Cup in 2025 he was named man of the match in the game against South Africa.

Collard remains, above all, a defender who scores.
