Eric Jenga

Erik Zenga was born in Moscow to an Angolan father and a Russian mother, though it was Germany he came to represent at youth level. His football education started in the academy of Bayer Leverkusen.

That search carried him through a string of clubs in Germany's lower professional tiers. He began at VfL Osnabrück, then had a brief stop at Hallescher FC, and settled for his longest spell at SV Sandhausen, where he stayed five seasons. A move to MSV Duisburg followed before he joined SV Meppen in January 2025.

There has been no single transfer that defined his career, no headline move up to the Bundesliga. Instead, the pattern has been one of steady, repeated service in the 3. Liga and 2. Bundesliga, a right-footed midfielder finding a new dressing room every few seasons and getting on with the job in each of them.
