About the player
Facundo Ezequiel Velazco Flores came through the youth ranks at Independiente without breaking into the first team. Joining Juventud Antoniana in January 2021, the left-footed midfielder became a fixture in Federal B, making 57 league appearances and scoring twice as the club won promotion to Federal A in 2022.
The move that changed things came in July 2023, when Nacional signed him from Juventud Antoniana for a modest fee. In Paraguay he stepped up to continental competition, playing 31 league matches and scoring four goals, adding a goal in the Copa Libertadores and further appearances in the Copa Sudamericana.
He left Nacional in January 2025 and moved on a free transfer to San Marcos de Arica in the Chilean Primera B, where he made 27 league appearances and scored once, adding a goal in four Copa Chile outings. That spell lasted a single season, and in February 2026 he signed for Cobreloa, again in the Primera B, once more on a free transfer.
Velazco has not been capped by Argentina at senior or youth level. His path has been built instead on steady playing time across three countries — Argentina, Paraguay and Chile — rather than on representative honours.
