Faris Krkalić

Faris Krkalić came through Sarajevo's academy before leaving Bosnia at sixteen for Dinamo Zagreb's youth setup. Two loan spells followed, first a long stretch at second-tier Sesvete and then a shorter one at Kuštošija, before he got his single top-flight appearance for Dinamo in the 2023/24 season. That campaign still counts as his most decorated on paper — Dinamo won both the Croatian league and cup that year.

The following season he did not feature for the first team at all, and in March 2025 he left for Finland, joining Ilves. He has become a fixture in Tampere, with more than two dozen league appearances plus outings in the Finnish Cup and the UEFA Conference League. Ilves rewarded him in December 2025 with a new three-year contract running to the end of 2028.

His 2026 Veikkausliiga season has been a heavy workload — sixteen league matches, twenty-three goals conceded, five clean sheets.

At international level, Krkalić's story so far belongs entirely to the youth ranks: a handful of caps for Bosnia and Herzegovina's under-15, under-17 and under-18 sides between 2017 and 2019, but no call-up yet to the senior team.
