Héctor Ronaldo Sánchez Camaras

Ronaldo Sánchez's career has run almost entirely inside two clubs, with a suspension in between that says more than any statistic. After breaking through at Ciclón and moving to Oriente Petrolero in 2016, the midfielder built himself into a regular there, racking up 59 appearances and six goals before a switch to The Strongest in July 2019 promised a new chapter. It lasted six matches. The club suspended him for indiscipline, cutting short a move that had looked like a step up, and by January 2020 he was back at Oriente Petrolero starting over.

That second spell proved the longer and more productive of the two, with 75 appearances and eight goals stretched across four years. It also underlined that his career, for all its interruption, found its rhythm through persistence rather than a single defining transfer. After leaving Oriente Petrolero in 2024 he had a season at GV San José before joining Guabirá, where he has made 26 appearances and scored three goals.

Sánchez has also worn Bolivia's shirt, debuting on 26 March 2018 in a friendly defeat to Curaçao. Since then he has added four more caps, the majority in friendlies, with one competitive appearance coming in a 2022 World Cup qualifier against Colombia in March 2022. He is yet to feature at a Copa América or a World Cup.
