He Jiran

He Yiran made the move to Chengdu Rongcheng in February 2026, a transfer worth around 9 million RMB after three seasons at Changchun Yatai, where the centre-back racked up 51 senior appearances between 2022 and 2025. Born in Tianmen, Hubei, the right-footed defender has built his career on regular first-team football rather than a single breakthrough moment, and Chengdu Rongcheng handed him the number 4 shirt on arrival.

His progress has been tracked at international level too. He Yiran has represented China at youth level, with 12 caps for the under-20 side across 2024 and 2025 before stepping up to the under-22 squad, for whom he has made seven appearances and scored once since 2025. He was part of the squad that reached the final of the AFC U-23 Asian Cup in 2026, a run that came at a formative stage of his career and alongside his transfer to Chengdu.

At club level, he now shares the centre-back positions at Chengdu Rongcheng with the Russian defender Yegor Sorokin, though the two wear different numbers and Sorokin arrived at the club as the more experienced of the pair. For He Yiran, the move to Chengdu represents a step up after establishing himself at Changchun Yatai, and his run of youth-international caps suggests a player the national set-up has kept a close eye on as he has developed.
