About the player
Jiří Šplíchal made his way into senior football through Táborsko. Having come up through the Milevsko and Táborsko youth ranks, he made his senior debut for FC Silon Táborsko in October 2021 and went on to make 36 appearances for the club, scoring three goals as a midfielder who has also been used further forward on the right.
His move to Viktoria Plzeň in February 2026 came as a loan for the rest of the season, with no fee attached. Rather than going straight into the first-team picture, Šplíchal was initially assigned to Plzeň's reserve side in the third tier, and it took until April for him to be called up to the senior squad. He made his Czech First League debut for Plzeň on 4 April 2026, coming on as a substitute in a 2-2 draw against Teplice. When the loan spell ended in June 2026, he returned to Táborsko.
At youth international level, Šplíchal has represented the Czech Republic's under-18 side, picking up four caps and a goal in 2023.
