J. Torquato

Long before he pulled on the FC Dallas shirt, Joshua Torquato was already an outlier in the club's history: he is the first Hawaiian-born player to sign for FC Dallas. He joined the club's academy in 2019, at the U12 level, and worked through the youth ranks before turning professional.

Torquato holds dual citizenship with the United States and Brazil. His path to the first team ran through North Texas SC, where he signed his first professional contract in March 2025. He debuted on 9 March against St. Louis, playing 88 minutes, and went on to make 17 appearances that season, scoring once.

On 18 July 2025, Torquato signed a Homegrown Player contract with FC Dallas, running through 2027 with club options for 2028 and 2029 — the 44th Homegrown deal in the club's history. He started that match and became the seventh-youngest player ever to start a league game for FC Dallas, at 17 years and 357 days old.

He has represented the United States at U-19 and U-20 level. In six appearances for the U-20 side, he has scored twice.
