Kent-Are Antonsen

Antonsen is Storsteinnes through and through. He made his senior debut in the Norwegian Fifth Division in 2010, then had a loan spell at Nordkjosbotn IL in the Third Division before joining Tromsø IL in the summer of 2011, first into the youth setup. He made his Eliteserien debut for the club in 2013 and stayed for more than a decade, a run that included promotion back to the top flight in 2014 and again in 2020, when Tromsø finished second in the First Division.

His clearest moment came far into a match rather than at the start of one. In May 2025, in the 94th minute against KFUM Oslo, he struck from long range to turn a game 3-1 and won the Eliteserien Goal of the Month award for it. That summer he was loaned to IFK Värnamo in the Swedish Allsvenskan, where he made ten appearances without scoring. His contract with Tromsø was terminated in January 2026 following the loan, and in March 2026 he signed a two-year deal with Strømsgodset IF as a free agent, closing out a Tromsø career that had lasted since 2011.

Antonsen has represented Norway at youth level, from the U15s up to the U19s, without going on to earn senior caps. He has not won a major team title in his senior career.
