About the player
His first-team debut followed in August 2023 in the Scottish Premiership.
The first of those came in March 2023, when he joined Kelty Hearts in the Scottish League One. By September that year he had moved to Airdrieonians in the Championship, a loan spell interrupted in January 2024 when he returned to Hibernian, only for him to go back out to the same club the following month for the rest of the season. In total he made around 30 appearances for Airdrieonians across all competitions, including playing through the promotion play-offs.
His most substantial loan spell arrived in September 2024, a full-season move to Partick Thistle with no option to buy attached. He became a regular fixture there, making 30 appearances in all competitions — 26 in the Championship and four more in the play-offs — and set up a goal against Airdrie United in February 2025, though he did not score himself over the campaign.
Megwa returned to Hibernian when that loan expired in June 2025 and now wears the number 27 shirt at Easter Road. Primarily a right-back, he has also featured on the right of midfield and through the centre of defence during his time away from the club.
