About the player
Liam Omore was born in Konstanz to a Beninese father and a German mother, and it is that dual background that shaped his path into international football. Rather than coming through Benin's youth ranks, he was called up directly to the senior national team by coach Gernot Rohr ahead of the 2027 AFCON qualifiers, making his debut as a substitute in a 1-1 draw with Niger before a second appearance, also from the bench, in a 1-5 defeat to Togo.
His club career has stayed close to home. He came up through SC Konstanz-Wollmatingen, scoring four goals in six Regionalliga appearances before a free transfer took him to FV Illertissen, where he made 47 appearances in the fourth tier and won the Bavarian Cup. A second free transfer, in May 2025, brought him to FC Würzburger Kickers in the 3. Liga, where he has continued to add to his appearance tally and lifted a further Bavarian Cup.
Primarily a right-back, Omore has also featured further forward on the right, a versatility some sources note by listing him among the club's wide midfield options as well as its defenders. Locally, the Südkurier newspaper has described him simply as the young man from Konstanz.
