About the player
Momo Fanyé Touré arrived in Yerevan in the summer of 2025 as a free agent and finished among the top scorers in the Armenian league. Fifteen league appearances brought him eleven goals and two assists, a return that placed him third in the 2025/2026 scoring charts, with a further goal added in the UEFA Conference League.
The Guinean forward, born in Conakry, took an unusual route into professional football. He began in the Renaissance academy in his home city before moving to Russia to join the Vista academy in Gelendzhik. From there his career took him to Denmark, where he played for Fremad Amager and had a loan spell at AB. A move to Bulgaria followed, with a stint at Botev Plovdiv, before he returned to Russia in 2023 to play for Volga Ulyanovsk and Arsenal Tula.
In 2024 Touré switched to Armenian football for the first time, joining FC Van, where he spent a season before Alashkert secured his signature.
Touré has also featured for Guinea's under-23 side, appearing once during Olympic qualifying, though he has yet to be called into the senior national team.
