About the player
Mallik Wilks came through the Leeds United academy without ever making a first-team appearance for the club, spending much of that spell out on loan instead. Three separate loans took him to Accrington Stanley, Grimsby Town and Doncaster Rovers, and it was at Accrington that he picked up his first winner's medal. At Doncaster he found his scoring form, finishing with 14 goals in 46 league appearances.
A move to Barnsley followed that summer, though his time there was brief. In the 2020/21 season Wilks scored 27 league goals as Hull won the League One title. Across his time at Hull he scored 30 goals in 91 appearances.
He left as a free agent in the summer of 2025 and signed for Turkish side Pendikspor on 9 July 2025.
Wilks has represented Hull City at youth level but has not been capped by England's senior team.
