Claudio Nicolás Barrientos

Nicolás Barrientos came through the ranks of Argentine lower-division football before making his way abroad. He began his senior career at Tristán Suárez, where he spent five seasons and made over 130 appearances.

From there his path became a tour of Argentina's football map: Güemes, All Boys and Instituto all had him on their books for short stints before he crossed into Paraguayan football with Club Guaraní, and he later continued in Paraguay with Sportivo Ameliano.

At the end of 2025 Barrientos returned to Argentina, signing for Deportivo Madryn in the Primera Nacional and taking the number 11 shirt. The stay proved brief: by the start of 2026 he had already moved on again, joining All Boys on a free transfer, the club where he had played once before.

An attacking midfielder by trade, Barrientos has never worn the shirt of the Argentina national team at any level. His career has instead been built on movement between clubs, rarely settling for more than a season or two outside his time at Tristán Suárez, and on finding regular football across three different leagues in two countries.
