About the player
Omari Mrisho earned his place at Crawley Town through a trial. The club signed the defender in July 2026 on a two-year contract with an option of a third, after he impressed during that spell. The move took him back to the South East of England, where his football began.
Mrisho spent about four years in the youth system at Brighton & Hove Albion. In July 2022 he joined the academy at Huddersfield Town and worked his way through the Under-17, Under-18 and Under-19 sides. He signed his first professional contract there in May 2024.
His first senior appearance for Huddersfield came in the EFL Trophy against Harrogate Town in the 2025–26 season. Much of his football at the club was played for youth and B teams, so the competition gave him his first taste of the men's game at Huddersfield.
In December 2025 he went on loan to Sutton United in the National League. The move reunited him with head coach Chris Agutter. He played for the club and returned to Huddersfield in January 2026.
At 185cm, Mrisho is a tall defender. Crawley, wearing number 33, is his first permanent move away from Huddersfield.
