About the player
He left for American college soccer, spending time at Southwest Baptist University, the University of Indianapolis and, finally, the University of Michigan. At Southwest Baptist, in 2022, he was named among the best defenders in the GLVC conference. The same year he turned out for Flint City Bucks in USL League Two, fitting senior minutes around his studies.
By 2024 he had reached Michigan's Wolverines, playing six matches for the programme. It eventually led him to Kansas City rather than back across the Atlantic.
Sporting Kansas City brought him into their setup in 2025, initially with the MLS NEXT Pro side SKC II. He made himself a regular there, playing 27 matches in his debut season and scoring his first professional goal on 14 September 2025. In 2026 he signed a short-term agreement with the first team, joining the MLS roster with the number 41 shirt.
His home region has kept an eye on the journey. L'Écho du Berry, the local paper, has referred to him as "le Berruyer" — a nod to Bourges that ties his American detour back to where it started.
