P. Pedersen

On 6 July 2024, Patrick Pedersen scored twice against Fylkir to reach 109 goals for Valur Reykjavík. By September that year the tally was 114.

Pedersen turned professional with Vendsyssel FF in 2011 and arrived at Valur on loan in 2013. The move became permanent in May 2014, and by 2015 he was the leading scorer in the Úrvalsdeild with 19 goals. That December he left for Viking FK in Norway, in a deal reported by Fodbold i Danmark at around 1.3 million Norwegian kroner. Two seasons there brought 34 league appearances and six goals.

He returned to Reykjavík in the summer of 2017. In 2018 he was top scorer again, this time with 23, and was named Iceland's player of the year. A move to FC Sheriff Tiraspol followed in December 2018; he won the Moldovan Cup in 2018/19 but left in July 2019, back to Valur once more.

The third spell has been the longest and the most productive. As of August 2025 he had 136 goals in 181 matches for the club in all competitions, 87 of them in 136 league games, and is recognised as the highest-scoring foreign player in the history of the Icelandic top flight. His medals with Valur include league titles in 2017, 2018 and 2020, the Icelandic Cup in 2015 and the 2018 Super Cup. His contract runs to the end of 2027.
