About the player
Schreck came up through youth football in and around Hamburg, moving through TUS Appen, Hamburger SV, Kammerfelder and then FC St. Pauli before Bayer Leverkusen picked him up. He made his professional debut for Leverkusen in the Europa League in November 2018 — he played for the U16, U17, U18, U19 and U20 sides, and was part of the squad that reached the semi-final of the 2016 UEFA European Under-17 Championship.
The move abroad came next. Schreck joined FC Groningen in the Netherlands, where he spent three seasons before a loan took him back to Germany with Erzgebirge Aue. That loan turned permanent in 2022, and Schreck settled into the Aue midfield, scoring three goals in 28 appearances before a free transfer took him to Arminia Bielefeld in July 2023.
Bielefeld is where his career has taken on shape. Schreck has made 58 appearances for the club, scoring once, and last season he was part of a squad that went from the lower reaches of German football back toward the top table: Arminia won the 3. Liga title and the Westphalian Cup in 2024–25, and also reached the final of the DFB-Pokal.
