About the player
The number 44 shirt at KA Akureyri belongs to a player the club raised itself. Valdimar Logi Sævarsson joined the KA age groups at under-12 level in 2017 and worked his way up through them, never once leaving. There is no transfer fee anywhere in his record — the academy graduate simply moved from one KA team to the next until he reached the senior side.
That step came around 2021 and 2022, when he first appeared for the first team. By 2023 he was a regular presence in the Besta deild karla squad.
