About the player
Vinícius Souza's career carries the imprint of Flamengo's academy, where he came through the youth ranks before breaking into the senior side in 2019.

He spent the next two seasons out on loan, first at KV Mechelen, where he contributed two goals in 32 league matches, then at RCD Espanyol, where he added another goal in 34 appearances in Spain.
