Xia Xiaosi

Xia Xiaoxi came through Wuhan Three Towns' own academy, working his way up through the club's U20, U21 and B teams before breaking into the first-team picture. His senior appearances have so far been limited, but he has produced when given the chance, with a couple of goals to his name at that level. It is with the reserve sides that he has made the clearer impression, scoring regularly for the U21 side as he pushed for a foothold in the senior squad.

He is left-footed, a combination that has shaped his development path through the club's youth setup. His contract at Wuhan Three Towns runs into 2027, tying him to a club that has enjoyed considerable success in recent years, including a Chinese Super League title in 2022 and a China League One title the year before. For a player raised entirely within that system, coming through during a period when the first team was winning silverware sets a particular backdrop to his progress.

There is no senior international recognition to date, and his path so far has been defined more by the academy pipeline than by first-team regularity. The next step for Xia Xiaoxi will be turning his reserve-team scoring form into a consistent role higher up the club's pecking order.
