Yanis Guermouche

Yanis Guermouche's football education did not start at a professional academy but around it: Montpellier took him on as a child, released him, and he spent years rebuilding through local clubs Lattes, Mauguio and ASPTT Montpellier before the same Ligue 1 club brought him back. That second chance eventually delivered a first-team debut against Saint-Étienne in January 2022.

The senior appearances at Montpellier stayed rare — three matches, no goals — and the path since has run through loan spells and shorter stints rather than a settled first-team role. A season on loan at Châteauroux in the French third tier brought regular football, and by 2024 he had left France altogether, joining Iraklis in Greece before moving on to Bulgarian football with Krumovgrad and then Hebar Pazardzhik, where he found the net twice in fifteen appearances.

Guermouche has also worn Algeria's colours at Under-23 level, called up for the 2022 Maurice Revello Tournament in Toulon. His scoring return there included a goal against Indonesia's Under-19 side that arrived in stoppage time at the end of the match.

At 192cm, he offers a physical presence up front, and his career has increasingly taken shape outside his native France, built through loan football, academy setbacks overcome, and a series of clubs across three countries.
